Library Advisory Board

Mission


The Hood County Library Advisory Board supports the Library Director's efforts to fulfill the Library's existing Mission Statement, serve as an advocate for the library in an effort to ensure quality library services with equal access to all Hood County residents, and inform others about library services, needs, and accomplishments to foster public image and build community support.

**The Library Advisory Board is seeking applications for new members for 2019. The County Commissioners Court chooses board members. There are 5 positions to be filled, 3 are the result of current members having completed their first terms. Current members are eligible to re-apply to serve a second final term. The term length is 3 years. The remaining 2 positions are the result of member resignations and their terms end after one year. The candidates selected will be able to re-apply for a second term at the end of 2019. PLEASE print the application below and return to the Hood County Library at its temporary location at American 
Town Hall, 220 North Travis Street.**

Applications will be accepted until 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Applications may be dropped off at the temporary location of the library (American Town Hall, 220 N Travis Street) or mailed to the Hood County Library, 222 N Travis Street, Granbury, TX 76048.
