Sergeant / Investigator Joshua D. Lane started his career in Law Enforcement as a Telecommunication Operator (911 Dispatcher) at the Hood County Sheriff’s Office. After leaving the Hood County Sheriff’s Office, he served the citizen’s of Hood County as an EMT with Hood County EMS (AKA Texas EMS). After graduating from the Weatherford Police Academy, Joshua Lane was hired back with the Hood County Sheriff’s Office as a Reserve Deputy, until a full time patrol position became available.

Sergeant / Investigator Joshua D. Lane currently holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate with Texas Commission of Law Enforcement. Through the Hood County Sheriff’s Office, he serves the citizens of Hood County as a Street Crimes Investigator / K9 Supervisor and a Narcotic Detection Canine Handler. Through Texas EMS, he serves the citizen’s of Hood County as an EMT-Intermediate.
